The pressure at the ONS energy fair in Stavanger, Norway was high after two missed fairs as a result of the pandemic. 60,000 participants attended and some of the biggest names in the energy industry took part as guest speakers. During a four-day period at the ONS fair in Norway, some highly topical topics are discussed, for example how energy will shape the societies of the future. The fair is often regarded as one of the most prominent gatherings to discuss energy in the world.
For years now, the fair has been arranged in Trippus. Thanks to satisfied customers, ONS continues to collaborate with Trippus for this important fair. The scope of the assignment was large and required a lot of preparatory work from Trippus' project group. Everything from easy-to-use registration pages to payment and ticket handling was handled by Trippus.
Participants could register via a registration page where they provided their contact details for smooth check-in on site. They paid on the same website and received their ticket electronically via email.
One of the people behind the fair's success is project manager Villiam Larsson.
– We were in Norway for a whole week preparing and checking in tens of thousands of visitors, says Villiam Larsson on Trippus.
One of the speakers was none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk who shared his vision of the future of the automotive industry.
– By 2030 I'd say probably half of all new cars will be electric, says Elon Musk during his presentation.
