Thanks to Trippus’ hybrid platform, World Water Week reached a global audience. A total of 2,000 participants attended in person and 11,000 joined digitally – representing countries across the world, with particularly strong participation from India, the USA, Mexico, Kenya, and South Africa.
When World Water Week 2025 took place, thousands of participants from around the world came together to discuss one of the most critical issues of our time – water. Like in previous years, the conference was delivered in a hybrid format via the Trippus platform, combining the best of both worlds: in-person engagement and global digital reach.
A total of 2,000 participants attended in person and 11,000 joined online. Hosting the conference in a hybrid format opens the doors to a worldwide audience, with representatives from 192 countries. Countries such as India, the USA, Mexico, Kenya, and South Africa topped the list of nations with the most participants, highlighting the international significance of the event.
One of the greatest strengths of the hybrid approach is accessibility. For many participants, traveling long distances to attend international conferences is a challenge. By offering a seamless digital solution, more experts, decision-makers, researchers, and organizations were able to take part in discussions without being tied to a physical location.
World Water Week continues to be a leading platform for sharing ideas, research findings, and solutions to water-related challenges. The combination of in-person meetings and digital interactions allowed participants to both network on-site and engage in interactive online sessions – a balance that maximizes impact.
The Trippus platform also enhanced networking through a matchmaking feature, connecting participants based on shared interests and expertise. This allowed attendees, both on-site and remote, to easily find and establish connections that might never have happened otherwise.
Thanks to using a hybrid event platform, World Water Week has evolved into an even more inclusive forum. Whether participating on-site at the Waterfront Conference Centre in Stockholm or from home in Nairobi, everyone could access the same content and actively contribute to the discussions.
