System Updates
13 December, 2023
Summary
Our developers have worked hard to with everything that is to be included in this major release. Business Development defined the work for us and coordinated the testing of the new features with the rest of the organization, and we are coming close to a release. The release is scheduled to drop before Christmas.
Key focus areas
Add-On Invoicing.
Exhibitor Module.
Swedish Email Integration.
Add-On Invoicing
Add On Invoicing now supports accommodation nights and changes to them.
In cases where multiple add-on invoices (debit and credit) would have been created previously we now create one invoice. The total sum om the invoice decides if it will be a debit or a credit invoice.
When changing from invoice to credit card, we now update the invoice date to the current date.
Exhibitor Module
Admin
When using a category to register exhibitors, administrators now have the option to select if the exhibitor should be tagged as a “Digital Exhibitor” or not.
Exhibitor Email header images now properly keep their aspect ratio.
Exhibitor Portal
Digital Exhibitors get a navigation menu item letting them edit their digital stand.
Exhibitors can now edit their personnel bookings.
Improved visuals clues to indicate a lead can be opened.
New Email Integration – RULE
We have partnered with a Swedish mailing system provider and created an integration. Customers that want to use a Swedish supplier and get the benefits of DKIM and DMARC can opt in to use RULE. Trippus Sales department will manage the additional agreements required to get started with this provider. Contact sales here: sales@trippus.com.
Miscellaneous
Triad Admin
Participant search now allows searching for bookings by email.
End Users
Invitation decline links have an updated flow. A click on the decline link in the email now brings the user to a landing page where they must click and confirm their declination. This prevents automatic declinations to occur via e-mail security applications that open links to scan for malicious pages.
The unregistration page has gotten its layout upgraded. We also disabled double clicks here which previously caused an error message to be displayed.
REST API
Get activities endpoint returns allotment information in a new and improved structure.
Get events and get single event endpoints now includes the event level fields ”Project Number” and ”Learnifier Project ID”.
Calendar API
Get All Published Courses endpoint is optimized and now supports date filtering.
Bug Fixes
Turnover report minor bug fix for IsCreditCard column. On rare occasions it showed the wrong values.
Disabled changing of sender email in Add Web when the domain is ”event.trippus.com”.
Miscellanous bug fixes.
Security updates.
What to expect next
As we move into the new year, the focus will shift towards an entire new module. More info will come “soon”.
New Email Security Requirements Will Affect Email Delivery
Domains like Gmail, Yahoo, and AOL will implement changes in the beginning of February 2024. Stay on top of it with our new solution.
In the ever-changing world of digital communication, major email domain providers are gearing up to introduce a new set of email authentication standards requirements in February 2024. These requirements aim to enrich user experience, fortify against spam, and enhance the overall security of email communications.
To begin with, domains like Gmail, Yahoo, and AOL will implement these changes, and we anticipate more providers will follow shortly.

Rules advanced anti-spam features integrated into Trippus Event Solutions offer a “certificate”, allowing you to relax that your emails reaches your audience without interference.
Let's introduce Rule. It Rules!
In line with these new email requirements, Trippus is partnering with a leading Swedish email provider. Rule is fully compliant with GDPR standards. If this interests you, please don't hesitate to reach out to your dedicated sales representative or contact us at sales@trippus.com.
This is what you got to do
If you are using noreply@event.trippus.com, we have already ensured the use of all three protocols mentioned below; these changes won’t impact you.
However, if you are using a domain other than @event.trippus.com, we strongly suggest configuring DKIM and DMARC for that domain.
What are the Email Standards?
3 key protocols to keep an eye on: SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
SPF
SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework and specifies authorized mail servers.
DKIM
DKIM is short for DomainKeys Identified Mail and it uses cryptographic signatures for sender domain authenticity.
DMARC
DMARC is an abbreviation Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance and it sets policies and provides reporting mechanisms.
